Shit Storm Cup B
Ok Don't come for me, but this form reminds me of what my (older, traditional) professor Tim would call a Tea Bowl. Coming from an exceedingly white background, I could not relate. Tea? Drunk from a bowl? I don't like thinking of my work in this specifically Asian-inflected pottery way because I am, in fact, soooo white. But there's something about this proportion and slightly wider mouth that gives this piece a very pottery feel, more than a straight forward glass/cup. It's wide like a cocktail glass, but tall and square. Whatever I love it.
Don't you just want to see inside? This mug is approximately 4” wide and 4.5” tall. Pale tangerine glaze interior, polished unglazed porcelain exterior.
